Fun Patch Quilt Pattern written by Doug Sobel
For 12” finished size block (12 1/2”) you will be cutting 3 ½” x 5” rectangles.
Cut 8 background – Focus, 4 color A and 4 color B to make one block.
Place one background fabric and one focus fabric right sides together at right angles to each other. Place background fabric horizontally and focus fabric vertically on the right side. Make sure this is consistent on every pair!
Sew on the line and trim leaving a ¼” seam allowance. Press to the darker side.
12” Block: The unit should measure 3.5”x 6.5” (Will make finished size 3×6”)
Follow the photos to arrange the 8 units how you like.
Sew together two units at a time, then rotate them and arrange them into a block.
